End of School Year Bookmark for summer reading 

“A St. Mary of the Lakes End of Year Art Room Tradition” - Mrs. Nardi

Review working with shapes, lines, and colors to create a bookmark. Discover “Found Paper” - old cards, wrapping paper, magazines etc. Students will create bookmarks for their summer reading using strong thick paper. Begin with pencil and create your design. What will you draw? Flowers, abstract lines, or maybe your favorite superheroes. Add color and texture using markers, pens, crayons, found paper etc. 

Punch a hole at the top and add yarn, string, or pieces of material for a tassel. Have fun!
