Monday, 3/16: Go to Google Classroom and work on Final Draft of Problem Solution Essay Assignment - All directions on Google Classroom - read them carefully.
Tuesday 3/17: Finish typing your Problem Solution Essay, use your rubric to self-revise, read it to someone at home, but DO NOT turn it in yet. PLEASE REREAD ASSIGNMENT DIRECTIONS BECAUSE I HAVE UPDATED THEM.
Wednesday 3/18: Electronically share your paper with any 7th grade classmate to do an online peer edit and revise. Make sure your comments are kind and relevant to the assignment/rubric. If you cannot send it to a classmate, read it out loud to someone you have not read it to yet and have them give you feedback (siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, cousins - can do it over the phone or facetime). I will be making comments on your papers today.
Thursday 3/19: Read over your rubric and do the final revise and edit of your paper. If you feel as though it is done and ready to be graded, you can turn it in today. If not, it is due tomorrow. If you finish you can work on IXL Vocabulary W. 1 or any activity under FF. Verb Tenses.
Friday 3/20: Make final corrections to your paper and make sure to turn it in. Work on IXL Grammar and Mechanics FF. Verb Tenses 1-5 (pick one to master that you have not yet mastered).
Monday 3/23:Please go to Google Classroom and complete the "Parts of Speech" assignment. It is due today, so please make sure to turn it in when you complete ALL parts.
Tuesday 3/24: Complete the Response to Literature assignment on Google Classroom. Read all directions carefully and make sure to complete all parts. Turn in the assignment when you finish. Due today.
Wednesday 3/25: Zoom meeting today, see Google Classroom for your class's time and code. Please review yesterday's assignment if you did not get it back graded. Please read my comments and make corrections. You SHOULD NOT write a paper. All you need is a BOOK TITLE and a PURPOSE (from the 3 listed on the note slide provided with the assignment). Once you have completed that, please complete the Model Response to Literature assignment.
Thursday 3/26: Complete BOTH steps in the Response to Literature Pre Writing assignment on Google Classroom. BOTH parts of the assignment are due 8am Monday morning. READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY.
Friday 3/27: Finish both steps of the Response to Literature pre writing on Google Classroom. Due 8am Monday.
Friday 4/3: Go to Google Classroom and complete the following assignments in this order 1. Read ALL information in the "Conclusion Lesson" 2. Draft your conclusion in the "Response to Literature Draft" assignment 3. Share your conclusion ONLY on the Flip Grid. Due Monday
Thursday 4/2: Finish working on your body paragraphs. By 8 am tomorrow you should have your introduction and body paragraphs comlpeted with highlighted precise words. I will be checking in and commenting on your writing.
Wednesday 4/1: Read the "Body Paragraph Lesson" on Google Classroom. Work on completing your body paragraphs on your "Response to Literature Draft" assignment. We wil be going over the body paragraphs in our Zoom class. See Google Classroom for the links.
Tuesday 3/31: Complete the introduction of your Response to Literature and highlight the precise words. DO NOT turn the assignment in.
Monday 3/30: Go to Google Classroom and follow the directions on the "Introduction Screencastify Directions" assignment.
Thursday 4/9: Read through your Response to Literature draft and make sure you have the precise words highlighted. Then, with a different color, highlight all of the commonly misused homophones we went over yesterday (its/it's, their/they're/there, and to/too/two). DO NOT turn in the draft. Make sure to master IXL S. 1 Due today.
Wednesday 4/8:DON'T FORGET ZOOM CLASS TODAY. Finish the homophone lesson on Google Classroom and complete the 3 EdPuzzles. Make sure your Response to Literature Draft is complete and that you read your conclusion on the flip grid. Master IXL Vocabulary S. 1 due Thursday, April 9.
Tuesday 4/7: Read the notes and complete the worksheet in the "Homophone Lesson" on Google Classroom. Then, complete the 3 assigned EdPuzzles (one about there, their, they're - one about to, two, too - one about its, it's). Turn in the homophone lesson and mark the EdPuzzles as done on Google Classroom (all activities under "Response to Literature" category). These activities are due Thursday, April 9 at 8am.
Monday 4/6: Finish the first draft of your response to literature. You should have an introduction, body, and conclusion typed on the "Response to Literature Draft" assignment in Google Classroom. On the draft ALL precise words should be highlighted. DO NOT turn in this assignment because we will be revising and editing. Next, record yourself READING your conclusion on the Flip Grid assignment in Google Classroom (mark this as done when you finish). Finally, work on mastering IXL - Vocabulary - S. Homophones - 1. Use the correct homophone (this needs to be mastered by Thursday, April 9).
Friday, April 24 (Office Hour 11-12 - Link in the Google Classroom Stream)
Please complete you Homophone Quiz on Google Classroom by 3:00pm. Make sure to read all questions and answers carefully. Also, double check your answers before you submit. Once you submit, your responses cannot be changed. Finish revising and editing your Response to Literature Draft with the checklist. The checklist should be completed today. DO NOT TURN THE ASSIGNMENT IN YET.
Thursday, April 23
Today, you are to complete the revising and editing checklist. I added the checklist as a doc on the Response to Literature Draft. In order to type on it, you need to got to "file" and the select "make a copy". Make sure you attach the copy you write on to the Response to Literature Draft assignment. Again, DO NOT turn in the assignment. The revision checklist is due end of day Friday. Also, study for your homophone quiz which will be on Friday.
Wednesday, April 22
There is no Google Classroom assignment today. Today you need to revise your Response to Literature Draft for sentence fluency. If you have graph paper, you can graph sentence length. You should also read your paper out loud and listen for choppy sentences. You should have a variety of sentence lenths, structures, and beginnings. As always, use the rubric to guide your revision. Zoom class today will review homophones for Friday's quiz. Bring questions if you have any.

Continue working on the Frequently Confused Words assignment, Response to Literature draft revision, and EdPuzzles you started yesterday. All work is due Tomorrow at 8am. During our Zoom tomorrow, we will be reviewing for our homophone quiz which will be on Friday, April 24. Make sure to study.
Monday, April 20
Today you will be exploring frequently confused words. Start by watching the Screencastify on Google Classroom. Next, COMPLETE the "Frequently Confused Words" assignment on Google Classroom. Please make sure to READ all directions and COMPLETE all parts. TURN IN when you finish. Finally, complete the EdPuzzle for Affect/Effect and Accept/Except. All assignments due Wednesday, April 22 at 8am.

Wellness checkup due Monday, April 27th: Record your progress on this daily log for your wellness check up. Using the 2 items that you said needed improvement, record daily how you are working on improving these items. Record on document in google classroom.
